Get some crib bedding fabrics
Have you ever considered making your own bedding? Lots of shops that specialize in furniture and household accessories are selling fabrics which you can use to make your own tablecloths, curtains or quilts. But have you ever thought that it is also possible to make cot bedding in this way? Of course, it takes some time, and you have to have some basic knowledge, but at least it"s you who is designing it and you save a lot of money! However, there are a couple of rules that you have to stick to. Otherwise the bedding might not be very safe for your child"s health. What are the most important rules? Well, first of all, you have to choose the right kind of fabric. Remember that cotton, organic cotton, linen and perhaps silk are the best choices. They are unlikely to trigger allergies and are generally more breathable than all sorts of artificial fabrics. The next thing you have to pay attention to is the right size of the cot bedding. The set must fit the child"s bed. Actually, it should be big enough to be tugged around the mattress. This will prevent your child from kicking it off at night. Finally, remember not to use small elements that your child might swallow easily, such as buttons or ornaments that are not firmly attached to the bedding.
